My Go-to Wellness Products on a Budget
I did not realize you could call me “high maintenance crunchy” until I started making a list of the wellness items I use daily. Call me what you want, these things make a huge difference and all but a few won’t break the bank!
Sleep Hygiene -
Boka is another remineralizing toothpaste brand which is slightly cheaper and available via Amazon.
I have gone through several of these and I love the plush weight of them.
Once you get used to the feeling of ear plugs it is hard to go back!
(My SPLURGE!) I asked for this amazing weight blanket as a “push present” after having my second baby. It was worth every penny.
There are more expensive versions which I am sure work much better. These definitely dim the blue light, but more importantly I try to get off devices by 8pm.
There are several settings, but reading with the amber light is a perfect way to wind down.
Rest and Digest-
I have a cup of this tea every afternoon. A wonderful replacement to the afternoon caffeine jolt.
No matter my ailment/state of mind a 20 minute Epsom salt soak makes it better. Add candles and a good book.
Queen of Thrones Castor Oil Pack
There are cheaper versions of this pack, however, Queen of Thrones is fantastic!
Heritage Store Organic Castor Oil
This oil comes in dark glass and is organic, checks all the boxes.
If you want the free version, use any small trash can or stool in your house. These versions tuck away nicely.
Workout and Refuel-
These are great to have in addition to dumbbells and kettlebells which you can find on Facebook Marketplace! It took me a long time and many versions of squats to snap one of these in half and that was a proud day.
These are the “fashion version”. I workout completely barefoot for the most part, but when it is extra cold a barefoot shoe/trail runner is my go to.
I am obsessed with my standing desk converter, but I will admit I found one pre-loved on Facebook Marketplace. I recommend checking FB marketplace first!
My favorite cast iron pan is one my Grandma got as a wedding present in the 40s. Did you know if you cook with cast iron you get some of that iron in your food! Great for people dealing with low iron/ferritin.
Ditch of all the non stick cook ware if you can!
